Somalis held: unknownOPR has not yet documented a figure; both countries lie on the route from Somalia to Libya and the Mediterranean and detain migrants in transit
The road north to Libya runs through Sudan and Egypt. Both detain Somalis without papers, and Sudan's war since 2023 has left Somalis stranded, detained, or held for ransom along routes nobody now monitors.
